It's been eating up way too much ESPN programming time for all of the '00s now, definitely since around '02.

And even made 'Tilt' to toss in at it's peak in mid-'00s.

The Deuce and Classic run WSOP ad nauseam late at night.

It's not boring, and I'd much rather watch it than soccer.

I could never understand why ESPN has that garbage on its network.

I also don't get why everytime they play old fights, it's either Tyson fighting nobodies and/or Buster Douglas.....and the Bowe/Holyfield trilogy. Please find other fights to show on ESPN.

I disagree. I watch it all the time. I like it.

Since when is ESPN only sports..?? I know that's generally what it's about, but it is the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network.

And poker is much better than lots of shitty sports-programming. shite, I'd watch it before several "major" sports (soccer, WNBA, hockey, etc.).

I even like watching shite like the Scripps Spelling Bee.

I always thought it stood for Excellence in Sports Programming Network. I guess I was wrong.

I'd rather watch NBA bloopers from 1976 than poker. Poker is all that is on ESPN 2 during the day or opposite football games on Sunday.

I would much rather watch poker than baseball all day! They should play replays of good football games though.

WSOP is fun to watch when there is absolutely nothing else on tv and im bored as hell. However, I think ESPN plays it way too much. I'd rather them repeat sportscenter over and over more often

I do agree with that though. I love watching it, but it's on all the time.

I remember watching Scrabble championships on ESPN years ago.

It is very, very CHEAP to produce compared to a sports telecast.

A hockey game would have to double the rating of poker to make it worth trying to pay the NHL and fly all the people necessary for a telecast all around the country.
It doesn't.

I admit that for a moment I thought the subjet of this post read "Pokemon on ESPN."

I'm so sick of seeing poker on ESPN that watching grown men playing Pokemon would be a welcome change of pace. And hilarious!
