After flirting with its first loss this decade at Mississippi State last week, LSU could jump to No. 1 in the nation if it gets by No. 1 Florida (4-0, 2-0 SEC), which will likely be without injured quarterback Tim Tebow, next Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. Glenn Guilbeau

Great Scott!

Because I'm in a good mood, let me help ya out.

You know the link in your OP that was SUPPOSED to link us to Guilbeau's article?

It ain't linkin us to that article, instead you linked us to TD's "Start A New Thread" on the Rant.

Best guess, you had both tabs opened and copy & pasted from the wrong spot. It's an honest mistake, sure, doesn't make it any less funny.

Unfortunately, Mr. Guilbeau did not explain his remark about Tebow likely being out for the LSU game. Anyone have anything firm?

Don't have anything firm, but you don't recover from a concussion like his in only 2 weeks. If Urban Meyer doesn't want to risk that young man's future, let alone his life, he will sit him. Consecutive concussions can lead to devastating and debilitating injuries as well as death. It's squarely on his shoulders for Tebow's injury in the first place. Score is 31-7 late in the 3rd and you still have your starting QB in trying to pass? Germans, I know, but come on man! That was not trying to secure a victory, that was solely to run up the score so the scoreboard looks great for pollsters.

My impression, as a neurologist, is similar. I think it unlikely that Tebow would have normal mental functioning were he to play. I hate to see it, but fortunes of war, my friend, fortunes of war... Ooops
