Lee deserves a chance to run this offense

It isn't his fault he had to play last year when he wasn't even close to being ready. I admire the kid for how he faced everyone after the game and admitted to his mistakes. Nobody deserved to be treated the way he was treated last year by our fans or by his own team for that matter. The team obviously quit playing on him last year. Do I think Jarrett Lee is the answer to our problems? I don't know. Do I think Jefferson is the cause of all of our problems? Probably not. However, I think at worst, Lee deserves a couple of series to see what he can do. How do we know he won't be much improved from a year ago? He wasn't ready to play last year. Maybe he is this year.

At the very least, it would help Jordan Jefferson out. Right now he is starting to take alot of blame (much like Jarret Lee did last year). But if LSU puts in another QB, and still struggles, then less blame will be put on Jefferson and the blame will be focused elsewhere. Remember last year when Jefferson came in vs. Troy and struggled, he also came in against Ole Miss and nothing happened. Then people could see that Jarret Lee was the best option at that time.
If Les Miles never looks at another option, then Jordan Jefferson will continue to take heat for the offense's failures.

Why is it so ridiculous? He wasn't anywhere near ready to be thrown into that situation last year. He was supposed to be our 3rd string and learn last year.

Have you played any sports in your life at all????
If you're on a team, your arse better be ready to play. No excuses.

I hope you really believe that.

This. He had time to prepare himself, maybe not as much as we would have liked, but plenty of time to see what SEC football was about. We recruit SEC level QB's, we just don't develop them.

How about wait to see if Jefferson fails against a team that isn't the #1 team in the country before we decide to rotate him out with the middle relief shall we?

JJ has failed in just about every game this year
i was high on JJ coming in this year, but he has not played well. i want to see if lee can provide a spark
at least with lee crowton won't try to force many option plays

When your oline can't pass block, the one thing you don't want back there is a pocket passes. I'd rather take my chances with a running qb.

JJ is a pocket passer who happens to not be slow. he's still a pocket passer (lacks running instincts)
if lee can step up into the pocket he'll be an improvement in the pocket

How about 7 punts versus Miss State?

Do you realize that Jefferson is at the same point in his career that Lee was last year? Do you realize that Jefferson has done a much better job at not imploding?
There are only 2 arguments for Lee.
First, if you think Lee has turned the corner and is 2 steps ahead of where he was last year, then a change might make sense. Keep in mind, I don't think anyone was reporting that during the Spring or Fall. He seemed to make a lot of the same mistakes as last year.
Secondly, if you think Jefferson will never turn the corner it might make sense. Of course, remember that while he's struggling, there are aspects of his game that are MUCH better than Lee showed last year.
I think it's ridiculous to say anyone deserves to play. You play if you are viewed as giving the team the chance of winning...period.

define imploding
i mean it's not hard to avoid throwing picks when you just keep the ball and get sacked all the time

JJ is holding the O back. Lee may too, but we just don't know that. 2 out of 7 failed series may at least give the D more rest.

NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND!

Getting the ball out on time can make an offensive line look much improved with the quickness.
