"I'm proud of the way we played, the way we competed, " he said. "We had some injuries, but that's part of the game. I thought Jordan Jefferson was playing real well, and I don't think his injury is serious. He was trying to get back in the game, but we felt it was better that he sit."
ITs the game for the right to all the marbles and your starting QB is trying to get back in the game but you think its better that he sits. Atleast give him a shot and if hes ineffective than go back to your backup!

Even if JJ got back in, I don't see us overcoming the Bama D or the officials.
I'd like to see Lee start vs LA Tech so he can finally get some long overdue reps with the 1's.

No, Miles made the right call, you do not risk an ankle injury.

Yes, JJ should have gone back in. A championship was on the line.

Against U La La it wouldve been the right choice, this game it was not

LSU will NEVER win with JJ running the freaking option! Why cant Crowton get it through his head that it does not work!!!

frick no. That ship has sailed.

JJ's big asset is his ability to run. a sprained ankle makes that tough plus it was the plant ankle. anyway's miles is damned no matter what; if JJ had gone back in and hurt it worse, miles would be burned in effigy. also, JL was actually playing well for awhile.

Lee proved Les Miles right and half the stupid fan base here wrong. There is a reason Lee hasn't played.

Lee does need more reps. Guys he only threw 1 interception no where close to a good pass. He can do better than just one interception. If we are successful with lee at qb it will be because of Ridley running and Shepard

If JJ could have played then he should have, Bama went to the deep zone as soon as Lee was in , they know he will never run. My feeling is if we were going to lose with Lee then Shep needed those snaps. He could have broken a few runs on a deep zone.

I was there. He has an unspoken concussion. It was high risk for him to make a bad decision on top of the ankle situation

If anything, the fact that Lee wasn't in sync with the first team proves he needed more reps.
What's a bit deceiving about his numbers is the penalties that negated a couple of his passes.

By your own logic Bama wouldn't have run deep zone with Shep in at QB.

Did any of you idiots even watch the game? Every time JJ was shown trying to walk on the sideline he was wincing in pain. Word is that it is a pretty bad sprain. YOU try and play with something you can hardly walk on, sonnyboy.

No kidding. When he just sat on the field like that, you knew there was something wrong with him more than just an ankle sprain. A sprained ankle you get up and hobble to the sideline. He just sat there.

I just wish everyone would drop this shite and let JJ develop. How bout that?

I'm not surprised. JJ got bounced around a lot, and he looked a little dazed to me when the camera zoomed in on him on the sideline. I cant believe folks here are bitching at Miles for putting the health of his players above the game. Does anyone really thing Miles wouldnt put his best QB out there if he was really able to go? Of course JJ was trying to get back in. Thats what players do.
