this morning. Recruiting analyist was on and an LSU fan from Mass.(proves LSU fans are everywhere) called in and asked about the current class of commitments and he said Reed will commit to Auburnt tomorrow, which makes it all the more important that we get Seastrunk. I guess we will find out tomorrow, huh!

Won't hurt us too bad.
See:
1. Mike Davis - WR - TX
2. Justin Hunter - WR - VA

Yeah, tigah, he said it was important we keep those two commitments, also. Duh! I think it important we keep all commitments, but I know in reality we will prolly lose one or two. Anywho, he said if Reed does go to Auburnt it would make it more important to keep those two receivers.

Malzahn's O is gonna get a much needed boost. Wow it's amazing how Tubbs never recruited like this. Weird.

Tubbs did a great job with what he had IMHO..
LSU and Bama are probably going to dominate the star wars...

If Reed announces tomorrow, I would think he'd change his mind if Malzahn leaves for a HC vacancy.
It might not be over tomorrow.

Rudi Johnson, Courtney Taylor, Stephen Davis, Reggie Torbor, Karlos Dansby, Devin Aromashodu, Ben Obomanu, and Carlos Rogers, to name a few more of Tubs recruits.

Suntiger,Dude, half of those guys you just named either never saw the field or saw it sparingly for a year or 2 then left the team. I loved Tubs, he did a lot with a little, but his recruiting classes were always overblown because of his staff recruiting 4-5 star guys that hardly anyone wanted because they knew they could not make the grades at any institution of higher learning.

Tubbs recruited very well before Saban arrived at Alabama. He pretty much gave up after that.
This staff was built to recruit and seem to be doing pretty good.

Although I believe that Chizik & Co are doing a great job recruiting this year, we can't really evaluate the 2010 class until after signing day.
Just wondering how long you've been following Auburn recruiting.....you don't seem very well acquainted with the facts. The last seven of Tubs recruiting class rankings are still listed on Rivals. During those 7 years CTT, had a top 10 class 3 times and a top 20 class 6 times. The only year he missed the top 20 was in 2004 when his class finished at #21.
Tommy was usually out recruited by the likes of LSU, Florida and Georgia, but then so was the rest of the Country. I hope our current staff will be as successful over such a long time span.

Ben Obomanu
the ORIGINAL Dexter Blackmon. Tuberville is a recruiting ace to be able to find Obomanu in the black hole that is Selma.

And I will say again- If half of your top recruits do not ever make it to school or constantly stay "in the dog house" because of their grades and not play, it does not matter what the class was ranked. I think the current staff is very aware of the numbers problems and is recruiting way less non-quals. Tubs started recruiting like he knew he would not have to deal with the problems down the road. I'm not throwing Tubbs under the bus, maybe he was just really unlucky with guys and their grades, but facts are facts.
