Yeah, I was pissed off just as much as the next guy on here, wanting Miles and Crowton tarred and feathered. Crowton I think should go. However, I think that Coach Miles learned from his mistakes this season and the Ole Miss game. I hope anyway. Next season will be the deciding factor for sure on how great or bad of a coach Miles is. Coach Miles hit rock bottom on that Ole Miss game. Let us see how high he bounces back next season.

This is the second year in a row where we hit rock bottom against Ole Miss.

If it were a one-time thing, then yes. However, 5 years has proven otherwise.

Can I get some of the ganja you are smoking. I know this is just your opinion, but if you've actually watched LSU since he has gotten here then you would know this is probably the most assanine assumption LSU fans make. What has he ever fixed himself? Nothing!

This year I think against Ole Miss was the Rock bottom game for coach Miles. The game last year was due to the lack of talent and skill at QB. This year it fell on Miles not being able to judge the clock that even a Jr.High coach could have managed.

Hoping he gets better is assanine? Would you prefer that he gets worse? He ain't gonna get fired so put that thought to rest. What I am saying is that I hope he evaluates himself and his staff otherwise he better get used to coaching teams like Tulsa,Ball State etc...when LSU lets him go after his term is up.

bullshite. That's what Miles fed everyone and they ate it. With the talent we had on the team last year we could have devised a good game plan that catered towards what we had available. Crowton and Miles failed miserably. We should have been 11-2 or 10-3 last year. Dont try to spew that crap over here.

I'm saying that it just wasn't the Ole Miss game. That's the game that brought it to light for us who hadn't seen it before (blinded by P&G). He's made mistakes for 5 years that coaches shouldn't make. His players have not performed like they should.

Yeah. Lee is a great talent at QB. So tell me what your game plan would have been with a crappy QB. I would looove to hear it.
If you have a crappy QB, be prepared to lose a few, kid. Doesn't matter how great your defense is. Doesn't matter how great your WR's or RB's are.

While I slightly disagree with your assessment of Lee being a crappy QB, who's fault is it for bringing in a crappy QB and not developing him into a QB that can compete in the SEC?

What you see is what you got, plain and simple.

Well, I guarantee he doesn't make the same mistake again at the end of a game, but what new mistake is next? He is clearly clueless and cannot prevent these situations from happening. How many second chances can he be given for $4 million a year? Damn, he gets a pass for the DC debacle last year, now this? He shouldn't be making these errors at this level period.

The 2008 defense and the 2009 defense don't have many differences personnel wise. Yeah, Peterson is a full time starter. But for the most part, the pieces are the same. Is there a difference in the two seasons on defense? A big yes. Points per game are wayyyy different. Tackling is better. The players are in position most of the time. The difference? Coaching.

This is the gameplan jackass. First, dont force your two new QBs into throwing passes they cant. The ball should have only been thrown about 15 times a game last year and those passes should have been screens and slants across the flat. Second, utilize the senior FB you have. It worked against Alabama when Miles and Co weren't busy making bonehead play calls like KW trying to get to the edge on a 3 and 1 when we had been raping them up the middle with Johnson. Use the wildcat at least 5 times a game. Etc. There you go, I just gave you a 10-3 season.

I agree. I just stated the game against Ole Miss hopefully is the cold water to the face. People seem to take it as a free pass I am giving Miles. If LSU has another season like this year then we know who we truly have as a coach.

I believe we know exactly what we have. It has taken some of us longer to realize what others have been saying. Ole Miss highlighted it.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...well you know the rest.
We're talking about a fifth year head coach with a National Championship. There shouldn't be any "learning curve" when it comes to game management.
