He was a honorary captain. The idea of him being a well kept secret as some brilliant strategy to pretend he was a honorary captain and then unleash him against the Vikings is about as realistic as Les Miles' secret offensive playbook to open up the offense.

They want to get him a SuperBowl ring and that is it. I am all for it. If any past or present Saint ever deserved a SB ring it is Deuce (Brees as a very close second).
