With Eric Thomas getting all this attention likely means we missed out on Reed and Fobbs. If that is the case, I would rather not even offer a guy who isn't going to produce for us at all

Listen these guys work out all the time for teams like Boise, Utah and etc. Why couldn't this work for the Tigers? I still don't believe the stars BS!

I hear Mr. Thomas couldn't be contained in the Dome, not to mention on the way to it. Perhaps he is a late bloomer that fell under the radar? We'll see, but if the others don't pan out, I have no problem if he is offered. He's probably a competitive kid and will relish the upgrade in competition and eventually adjusts, then surprises.

Its a back-up plan, and he already knows it. If 2 of Boone,Fobbs, and Reed sign...He's out. Thomas has talent;moreso, than Jackson. So,if we are taking one to get that "Evangel" connection. I like the Thomas pick-up better. That also means we need to close on Boone and JC this weekend!!!

Because guys succeed is average conferences doesn't really mean much of anything to me. I'm sure all of our players could play against the San Jose States, Colorado States, Air Forces, etc of the world. We go after like 10 other guys and he is a complete backup plan and we are going to bring in better players next year so why offer at all? We won't use him.

Those schools haven't offered Thomas.

ULM hasn't even offered.

GRAMBLING hasn't even offered.

Eric Thomas is way underrated! He is a playmaker. He catches in traffic, has great hands, and is tough to bring down after the catch. He is deceptively fast. If Evangel doesn't have Eric Thomas, they don't win the state championship this year. Thomas Bridgewater, Evangel's other go-to receiver is slightly faster, but he drops passes and needs to be open to be effective.

If LSU has a scholarship to give at the end of the day, they could do much worse than offer it to Thomas!

I've learned never to discount the willingness and drive of kids. Success breeds success more often than not. The degree to which he is successful will all be up to him, and I am sure he will rise to the challenge. He sports a 3.0 GPA to boot. Smart kid.

I would rather have a DT who plays right next to Rasco than a WR. I know he is a last resort even now, but Thomas getting all this attention has me worried already that we couldn't sway Fobbs and/or Reed

SIgning day will be MUSICAL CHAIRS, as LSU and many others courts the nominees up to the last prayer and candle lighted.

If we lose players A, B and C, we have to invite D and E and make the best of it.

Fobbs is going to A&M next weekend after the Miles visit today. Sounds like Les did a good job and Fobbs wants A&M to show him some offensive plans.

This guy has better measurables than any of the other receivers we have onboard or are looking at (with the possible exception of Wright).

6'2" - 195 lbs, 4.6....I just don't see how a kid with those measureables that production doesn't get any attention...especially at a dominant school like Evangel.

Is he this year's Mo Claiborne?

Right now we are set to only have 6 scholarship receivers in the Fall and one of them probably isn't even as good as Thomas.

it doesnt mean that at all.

LSU staff has to continue to work every lead until the last guy signs/faxes.

Worse case, LSU ends up with Boone, Wright, and Thomas. I'm not mad at that at all.

IT SAYS 4.5 on rivals. do you feel better now that he is 4.5?

I don't know how you deduce this thought based solely on your first sentence.

FWIW, Thomas had a huge senior season and was considered one of the top WR to go under the radar.

If you watch his tape, he's pretty damn good.
