yea, the man made a mistake. get over it. did very well in the arkansas the next week. people dont realize that coaches grow and develop too. no coach is great from the start.
Nick saban lost a lot of games at lsu with a lot of talent in 01 and 02. he's grown to be the best coach in the nation. let coaches grow.

Seriously? They made almost the exact SAME mistake..Ridley just happened to get out of bounds. Oh, and they screwed up again in the Cap One Bowl. That's the problem, threr is no "growth" and "development." It's more like sustainable regression.
And you really aren't comparing Saban's crop in years two and three with what Miles has/should have in year five are you?
LSU should not be a school any longer for coaches to "grow" at when it comes to fundamental aspects of a game they are being paid $4 million annually to oversee.

He was in the excat same position against Arkansas and Penn St. Ridley just happened to make 2 good plays during the last drive and helped us get into FG position against Arkansas and that screen pass to the middle of the field against Penn St was probably the worst call that could have possibly been made at that time.

Does CLM really need to "grow"? He won the NC two years ago...
Posted on 2/12/10 at 12:32 pm to jrich11
I wouldn't care if he left the stadium in the last two minutes if we could actually move the ball and prevent the other team from doing so. We lost the entire Ole Miss (and Penn State) game, not just the end.

Poor example.
Besides, the end of Ole Miss isn't even the concerning thing about that game. People who focus on that are missing the issue.

the peeps who don't like LM coaching LSU will always fall back on this- nothing you can do about it except ignore them
It doesn't matter that every coach screws up and is sometimes saved by the refs (Hello Mack Brown), LM should never ever ever ever ever ever make a mistake because he makes 4 million and most posters make 40k

Spread the word Tieger Tim. Show us the way.

You mean 70% of the LSU fanbase and close to 100% of the other fanbases?
Although, the other fanbases want LSU to keep Miles so they can continue to have a shot at beating LSU every year.
But you make it sound like the people who think Les Miles is an idiot are the small minority group of idiots. I hate to tell you this buddy, but you've got it completely flipped from reality in your mind.

but you are right, we have more problems than just time management

It was poorly handled, it falls back on Miles, and it's a red flag for us to place in our memory banks.
Having said that, chit happens and I don't know of a coach who hasn't stepped in a pile or two of it.
Some just get off on the :beatdeadhorse: :beatdeadhorse: thing.

I wasn't entirely certain what Miles was going to be doing between now and the next junior day in march. Now we know that he's registered as a TD member under the name jrich11.
Today was a fruitful day, as we also found out, from another thread, that Choctaw is Gary Crowton.
Posted on 2/12/10 at 1:26 pm to geaux99
And LSU Beatles is John Brady.
Posted on 2/12/10 at 1:27 pm to jrich11
Man, he's making $4mill + a year. That oughta buy us just a bit more than 'he needs to grow.' That said, I agree. Time to let up on Miles, guys. We need to get solidly behind our football team and root and hope for the best, which this year, I think would be the Sugar Bowl. If offered right now, I'd take it and run. Les has 2010 to prove a lot of folks wrong. He's got the talent and 12 months to "fix" whatever ails the team. If he can't, then Joe should send him packing... GEAUX TIGERS

This is what you need to do, during the offseason:
You can post this whiney garbage day after day on the message boards.
You can post comments in other whining moron threads bitching about the coaching staff.
You can start threads dreaming up replacement coaches like Bill Belichick, John Gruden, and Knute Rockne.
When there is good news make sure you post the same garbage in good news threads to bring us back to earth. Without your dedication to tearing down Miles and LSU surely we will fail as a program.

I would like to know where you are getting your statistics. Could they be the same place your head is now?
