I've seen it posted quite a few times on here about it no longer being fun to be an LSU Tiger. I don't understand this. How many of you were here in the 90s and still thought it was fun to be an LSU Tiger. I know I still went to every game and enjoyed it for the most part. Yes I enjoy winning more, but losing doesn't make the atmosphere not fun. The games are still fun.

When we weren't good it was always like winning a Nat'l Championship when we pulled the upset. Not quite, but it was still crazy fun! I'm not saying I want us to start losing. But being a fan of any LSU sport will never become not fun for me. If that was so, why would I continue to be a fan?

I admit I have been frustrated some recently. But I still go to every game and I generally have a good time.

So on to the question: What constitutes you as having fun being an LSU Tiger? If you are not having fun anymore, why are you still an LSU Tiger?

I'll hang up and listen! Thanks! And as always

I'd rather a thousand of these than one person complaining about how we suck and it isn't fun to go to games anymore.

If you're not having fun, don't go. It really is that simple

Ah yes. Some drunk overweight, uneducated coonass cussing and pouring beer down your shirt. The team not playing worth a shite. The ticket prices being at the point that you cannot afford to take you family to the football game. Overpriced concessions. Who wouldn't want to miss that!

I always thought this was the essence of being an LSU fan. Fill the stadium, get rowdy and pull for your team no matter what. Lot of spoiled fans on this board.

Can't complain much about being a fan in general in Louisiana. This past decade was easily the greatest decade in the history of sports in the state. 2 LSU baseball championships, 2 football ones, a Saints Superbowl win, Basketball final four, Hornets coming to town.

I love being an LSU tiger fan, but of course I complain about the football team coaching staff because I don't like seeing things that are great go to waste.

You can have fun while being mediocre, or you can have fun while winning and competing for championships. I choose the latter. It takes one bad hire to put a program behind several years. Miami...

Good post! Grew up in Louisiana and have spent last 9 years between miss, ark, and now Texas. Just to go to last years lsu latech game I drove with my 4 step children from fort worth to baton rouge, then to Monroe, la that Saturday!!! And loved every minute! Some fans won't realize what they have until they don't have it. It's nice to see something positive!! Considering where I have lived, I have to listen to so much sh&t when lsu plays poorly. It's a shame to have to hear it here too. I believe in being realistic, but jeez!!!

It's fun to be a fan in general. Being a dedicated fan to any single team is just down right fun. However, it has been hard for me to enjoy the product being put on the field lately and that is getting not so fun. Either way, I will still be pulling my hair one play and jumping up in down in excitement on the very next play, every saturday, and that will never get old.

i live 1 hr from the atl. ill be there for unc and screaming like hell. i might get drunk and pour beer down my own shirt. i dont get to see my tigers play in person very much. lets pull like hell. you guys get drunker than a 9-eyed spider, be obnoxious as hell, fill up death valley and make it what its supposed to be-the most feared venue in cfb. i wanna hear it loud on my surround when i cant be there. we'll keep meeting here to vent and praise. when all is said and done-"HOLD THAT TIGER!"

I hate to admit it, but I'm beginning to agree with the guy who posted several months ago that the real LSU fans are people who actually attended and graduated from LSU. To actually sweat your arse off studying and wondering if you passed or failed your final exam, makes an LSU alumnus special. The only relief we had while attending LSU was watching LSU football and in my case, The Pistol. Not only do you pay for your education at LSU, but when you graduate, you continue to contribute to the university in monetary terms. TOPS was never thought of in the sixties. I just get pissed off when I see threads started by idiots who claim to be fans, yet have no true alligence to LSU.

i hate losing and losing always ruins your day, but the games are still fun.

The most fun game of the year was the flordia game, the stadium was electric even an hour before the game then florida went to the middle of the field and stomped on the eye probably the most fun part of the game.

College football is fun and saturday night in death valley is the greatest.
