He has stepped up huge. Time to start pronouncing his name Alec, I say he's earned it.

Agree. When he sees the ball well and puts a good swing on it he pounds the ball. He's only going to get more good swings the more he plays.

His Sophomore and Jr year he played 3rd at PBS, he moved to OF and 1B his senior year because he knew that at LSU OF is where he would end up. PBS had a very good 3B that year anyway, so PBS could afford him moving positions.

I don't understand why. Looks like there's a greater need at 3rd.

LSU was looking at him as an Outfielder, so thats where PBS put him.

exactly what i was thinking. he has been clutch in the past couple games, almost on par with Schimpf last year

Have liked his demeanor, just gets up there and gives his best shot, always looks like he means business at the plate. He's come a long way since he stepped in at Ole Miss?? Whichever away series he came in, looked intimidated at first but settled down. He sure stroked that fast ball last night for his first HR.
