ft morgan area is ok, no tar balls when we arrived on saturday. Sunday there were some ball but no oil. Today more of the same, not many tar balls near the house we are at. People out on the beach and in the water, some fishing.

Going there next week.
What about the smell in the air?
We are going with 5 other couples and three of them have kids under 1.
Don't know what to do.

Just got back from gulf shores...tar balls everywhere. Sucked arse. Had some clean up crews out there but plenty of tar in the water. No bad smells. But the tar is sticky as hell so bring dawn liquid.

We smelled it the day we arrived, but on the beach we couldn't smell it. Haven't smelled it since.

Its getting better in GS. The tar balls on the beach have baked and are no longer sticky. Some of them are getting covered by the sand. The water is clearing up also. There is not nearly the amount of ''goo'' in the water today as there was this weekend.

Any more recent updates on the Gulf Shores area? We are supposed to go there for the 4th of july. Wondering if we should cancel.
