How crappy are the Cubs?

we are sold this shite bill of good year in and year out on how good, or even competitive, the Cubbies will be. most seasons, they are total shite. this season has not disappointed, but for that i guess we can be happy that the WGN fanbase isnt making the MSB the Miserable Sports Board

As opposed to being a Braves fan because they were on TBS, or an Astros fan because they were on FSN, or a Yankees fan because they spend a lot of money and are on ESPN.

yeah I'm a cubs fan b/c Louisiana doesnt have a MLB team, the Cubs games are on TV, and you tend to like the team you watch all the time!

How is it stupid? A lot of people grow up in areas where there is no local team and the Cubs are one team that is on cable a lot. A lot of people are Braves fans for the same reason.

Yes, I am a Cubs fan because they were on TV and I used to watch with my grandpaw.
Same reason I am a Saints fan because they are on TV and watch with my dad. Being from the New Orleans area also helped that fandom rise.

They've actually been total shite only twice this decade (2002 and 2006) with this year shaping up to be the 3rd. But you just keep on believing what you want to believe.
