Shaken and disillusioned, Sookie rethinks her relationship with Bill. Sophie-Anne takes up a new residence as Russell plots his next move. Jessica and Bill reconcile; Jason throws down the gauntlet in hopes of saving Crystal; Lafayette gets a surprise visit from his mom, Ruby Jean; Sam tries to keep Tommy in check; Merlotte's gets a new waitress named Holly; Eric proves the depth of his allegiance to Russell. Sookie finds herself in a vulnerable position when Alcide needs to deal with a family emergency. (Written by Raelle Tucker; directed by Lesli Linka Glatter.) Playdates: August 8, 10, 11, 14 and 16

I'm hoping that this synopsis is misleading about Eric. Proving the depth of his allegiance better be offering to bring sookie back to Jackson but really going to save her from crazy trash wolf Debbie!

So, turn off the light 'cause it's night of the sun
You're hopelessly hopeless
I hope so, for you
Freeze your blood and then stab it into in two
Stab your blood into me and blend
I eat my own blood and get filled up get filled up;
I get filled up on me and end so turn off the light
'cause it's night on the sun you're hopelessly hopeless
I hope so, for you
Turn off the light 'cause it's night on the sun
You're hopelessly hopeless
I hope so, for you
Freeze your blood and then stab it into in two
Stab your blood into me and end
I eat my own blood and get filled up get filled up
I get filled up on me and end
Freeze your blood and then stab it into me
Freeze your blood and then stab it into me
Freeze your blood and then stab it in two into me and blend
Turn off the light 'cause it's night on the sun
You're hopelessly hopeless
I hope so, for you
Well there's one thing to know about this town
It's five hundred miles underground; and that's alright
Well there's one thing to know about this globe
It's bound and it's willing to explode and that's alright
Well there's one thing to know about this town
Not a person doesn't want me underground
There's one thing to know about this town
It's five hundred miles underground; and that's ok
There's one thing to know about this earth
We're put here just to make more dirt; and that's ok
night on the sun...

wonder who that's about?

These three bits are all that really interest me from that synopsis. The waitress part is entertaining, because you know the waitresses there all have a big part to play, and are never what they appear.

Like you said, Eric doing anything to get even further in Russell's good graces is interesting, and I too have no real answer for what it could be.

The Sookie part is just that Alcide's ex comes by and threatens Sookie, saying she will turn her world into hell. At least that's what I believe it is, we have seen this from the trailer that shows some scenes from future episodes.

A bit of trivia:

Alfre Woodard (Lafayette's mother) and Don Swayze(werewolf eaten by Jessica/Patrick's brother) both appeared in the very first episode of L.A. Law. Swayze played a rapist and Woodard his cancer stricken victim.

Eric and Sophie Ann vs the King of MS???

I wonder if Eric has made some plans?

Very good episode. Can Sam and his brother be actually about to kick some were-panther arse too?

I don't understand Vamp social order but perhaps Eric can defeat the King and take his place. He and Sophie can put all the V sales on him, considering his interaction with the Werewolves, it might get bought.
