LSU Tigers (6-6, 4-4 SEC) This time last year, LSU fans would defend Les Miles with great fervor when anyone dared to criticize the Mad Hatter. After two mangled two-minute drills that included some of the most horrific clock management ever seen, Miles has jumped the shark. The two big problems last year were the rushing attack and the offensive line. The three-headed monster of Stevan Ridley, Michael Ford and Richard Murphy will stabilize the running game after the departure of Charles Scott and Keiland Williams. Up front, the Tigers lost Ciron Black and Lyle Hitt off of an offensive line that allowed 37 sacks in 2009 – tied for last place in the SEC. The poor play from the offensive line was the primary reason quarterback Jordan Jefferson was inconsistent last year. With an opening week game against North Carolina – one of the toughest defenses in the country – the Tigers better get it fixed in a hurry. On defense, linebacker Kelvin Sheppard moves outside and cornerback Patrick Peterson will anchor the secondary. With John Chavis at the controls, LSU's defense is poised to have a big season again. But if they can't move the ball, will it matter? LSU will be better than the 6-6 record indicates, but that won't be enough to satisfy the LSU fan base or keep Les Miles employed. Regular season losses: North Carolina, West Virginia, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas

if LSU doesn't make a bowl game he should be fired on the spot in arkansas. There is no excuse for not having a winning record at LSU right now

LSU won't lose 6. 8-4 is much more realistic.

COngrats man. you found another article that has been saying the same thing.

Rest assured that changes will be made if we aren't in a bowl. That isn't happening though... this is an 8 win team at worst.

EIther way, this shouldn't be acceptable anymore. We were a dominant team this last decade and now we're hoping for an 8 win season. God this pains me.

How can people obviously say we will be this bad? Nothing has indicated that is a realistic prediction.

No, at worst we are a 6 win team. I don't think we'll win only six games, but I think most people will agree that out of our 12 game regular season that there are six, maybe seven games on the schedule that we could lose. This guy has us losing all of them which most certainly won't happen, but worst case scenario could happen.

I just hope Les has "managed" these 9 months better than he did the 2 minute drill in the Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Penn State games.

Jesus Christ. I'm hoping for an undefeated season...8 wins would be a huge disappointment.

the schedule is brutal this year with really only 3 certain wins with mcneese, ul monroe, and vandy. The rest of the games aren't gimmies.

LOL...they were really good in the arkansas game and won the game....this says it all about a poster like this. Anyone watching the Penn State games knows it was not les miles.......guy has coached lsu to 51 wins and 15 losses...lol....and they pin one loss on him against ole miss and suddenly he can't coach...the press gets wind of the rantards hatred of miles and they pile it on...and like any uneducated person, the rantards by everything they hear...just like a democrat in politics.

Hard to see how we'll finish 6-6 when our team is better than last year's 9-3 model. I know we play a tougher schedule, and Arky and Auburn are supposed to be better this season, but still.

IMO, 8-4 is just about as unacceptable as 6-6, barring extenuating circumstances. There is way too much talent on the roster. The knock against LSU isn't that they don't have the athletes to compete, it's that the talent is being woefully mismanaged by the coaching staff.

Randall get used to it! 8&4 if we are lucky & have some breaks.

What I don't get is all these folks saying we will have a better running game this year but will lose more games...Last year's squad was a cramp and twisted ankle from potentially beating Alabama.

It's called negatigers. They WANT and NEED lsu to play bad so they can complain and continue being negative. They thrive on negativity here and in their personal lives. It's sad, but hey, it's their lives.
