the fake field goal.

people that are in the organization said that it was jasper's call on the fake field goal. it was said that if he sees the gators line up in a certain way, then go ahead with fake. just goes to show how good jasper is and the determination of our team in not giving up until the goal is obtained

I think it was coach Robinson who called it. Jasper said he called him back when they were running on the field, then he told Helton when they were lining up then Helton told the line.

I read in an article that Jasper didnt even know they were faking it until right before leaving the sideline and then he told Helton when he got on the field and Helton was like " your serious?"" One of the ESPN articles from the game!

Pretty sure that didn't happen Saturday. If you watch the interview with Jasper after the game he talks about his reaction after the fake was called....

That may be true in other situations, but I have a hard time believing that was the case Saturday. He said in post game interviews that Miles made the call and he was originally going to kick the FG. Also, there is no visible evidence during the game of Jasper making any kind of audible, and all of the OL blocked like it was a fake, not a real FG, so that call had to come from the sideline.

Not necessarily. If Miles sent him in on that play and said "if they line up a certain way then fake it" then I would still concider that as Miles called it.

Miles and Robinson made the call for the fake. Now, Jasper may have the authority to call it off if UF had come back in a standard defense. Maybe that is what they are talking about.

I thought it was kinda obvious on the ESPN replay. After the TO, on the sideline you can see the discussion and the look on Miles face was like- Oh shite, you mean the fake is there?

Miles himself said after the game on the radio... He asked if it was there. He was told yes, it's there. So he said let's do it.
