Figured out how to make tiger dogs (Tiger Stadium)

I'm sure you people probably already know and I'm late to the party, but:
Poke holes in the dog(s) and add them to boiling water that you have put a couple of cap-fulls of crab boil in.
I usually throw hot sauce in for good measure.
Serve in paper-towel wrapped in tinfoil.

too bad I'm on a diet now.

I think it sounds pretty tasty, plus you could always boil and then throw on the grill for a minute or two to get a grilled taste.

My parent used to do that for the kids at a crawfish boil. I remember loving them back then but I haven't done it since I started doing the cooking. Might have to try it next time.

VERY easy to put too much crab boil, so start with a small amount.
1st time I did it, they tasted like dookie.

Are you kidding? I eat like 5 every time I go to a game.
But.. I HAAAAAAATE ones from the grill so that's probably why. Not a fan of "grilled" flavor on many things.

Sounds less than stellar. I don't think in the 4 1/2 years I was at LSU I ever bought food in Tiger Stadium

I am going to have to agree with you. There is nothing at all special about the hot dogs in tiger stadium.
ETA: and the flavor you detecting that you think is crab boil in the T.S. dogs, is probably just sweat and mildew.

Fair enough. I have been to TS since 1979 and they are by far the worst hot dogs I have ever eaten. I will eat them for nostalgia, but they truly suck.

I wouldn't say they suck but it doesn't have anything that makes it standout like a Fenway Frank or a Wrigley Dog.
