The saints are over paying for guys.

Does our slow strong safety really deserve more money than a top 3 cb?

They also paid more for a 3rd down running back than they should have.

You do realize that the big money that the rookies used to get now has to be spent on the veterans. The veteran contracts will be on the rise and we are going to see some real head scratchers in the future.

We overpaid for Harper yes, but who is this Top 3 CB that makes less than Harper?

He is more than that.
If Sproles was like Dexter Mcluster or some Mike Goodson than yeah we paid to much but he brings more to table than those guys

Harper's deal is the only one that was severely overpaying. I don't agree with it, but the SS crop out there just isn't that great.

After looking back at all the moves, it's the only bad move in my opinion and only because of the money, which was utterly absurd for an overrated strong safety. Thanks to the idiot chargers for that one.

I will wait for someone to claim Harper is great at coverage based on some convoluted stat that only took into account when he was in one on one coverage and not when he got burned big time while being the over the top coverage.

Sproles got his market value and it was a good deal seeing as Bush wanted basically the same money over 2 years and that deal is over 4.

lemme guess, you are a scouting/management consultant to NFL teams? No? Geek with a hackneyed message board opinion? You made such a compelling case I cannot tell.

Namdi just signed with the eagles and is making less than our strong safety that gets abused in pass coverage.
