Was that the guy that was going to LSU, but didn't have the good ole algebra class, and had to go to the Big 12 to play?

I don't remember that kid at all. That was the year we signed S. Corley and K. Aubrey at DE. A lot of people were big on Jason Peters too. I just don't remember much about Alexander or seeing anyone talking him up or anything.

Although that was the year of Chad Jones, Joe McKnight, Luther Davis and A. Paige. To paraphrase Crash Davis, We werre dealing with a lot of shite here!

He wasn't near the stud that he is now when he came out in 07. He had bad knees and wasn't very flexible. He must of worked his butt off at OU because he is a man on the field.

He was a back burner guy. Corley took his spot.

He was recruited heavy by other schools and he really wanted to come to LSU high school teammates with Chad Jones and Delvin Breaux but LSU didnt offer Miami and Oklahoma saw potential from his 10th grade year and werent worried about the stars

Getting stabbed can change a man.

Really though, we recruited him some. HS teammate of Chad Jones, I believe.

Yeah, because Miles only worries about star rankings?

Was this the same year as Tank English? Clean was reping that guy like he owed him money or something.

I believe so. Tank, PJ Smith and the white linebacker from Curtis that went to Kentucky were his agenda that year.

he and jason peters from br catholic got burned by some other d line talent. neither had a committable offer, but were recruited by LSU. alexander's really started catching national interest late into his senior year. he's was a miss by the staff....always hate to see a LA kid get skipped for some out of state talent.

If we had Alexander we probably wouldn't have gone after Ken Adams. Alexander would be an upgrade but it's not a need position. Having him would have helped more last year after Sam go hurt though.
