Great Time In Alabama

We went to the game, and I have to say that most of the Alabama fans we encountered before and after the game showed tremendous hospitality, pride in their traditions and knowledge of the game. All fan-bases have their drunk knuckleheads, but I have a new-found respect for Alabama's fan-base. We enjoyed the LSU tailgating at the High School, and the stadium was beautiful. I didn't care for the crazy-loud piped in music and the wild athletic trainer's yells, but was impressed with the passion of the fans and the abilities of the athletes on the field. There was no doubt that we were witnessing the two best defenses in the country! It was a hard-fought, nerve-racking game, but one for the ages. Let's not let the post-game BS on chat boards define such a classic game. Geaux Bama! Geaux Tigers!

I've enjoyed the times I've traveled to BDS - great atmosphere and mostly quality fans. I stop short of "Geaux Bama" though....

I was there two years ago worst experience I have had at a visiting stadium ... they can be nice after they get beat. When they won in 09 they went ape $h.. Got in everyones face walking back to our cars. Sorry don't share your opinion, I think if we had lost you would have seen something very different.

quote:They lost, they dont say anything to your face after they lose... When they win it is a different story. They get drunk arrogant and get in your face. I have been there 4 times.

I went in 01, and after the game the place was a ghost town. Some dude from Louisiana had a rv set up a block from the strip blaring music and we partied there until 2am. Hard to talk shite when your team losses at home.
