Well kept secret. Awesome seafood restaurant. I always try to eat here whenever I'm driving on I-10.

my wifes pawpaw has a camp not far down the road in butte la rose. ive always enjoyed my visits to pats.

I disagree with both assertions: that it's a hidden secret and that it's awesome. I think it's average and fairly well known.

It USED to be really awesome, but something changed a few years ago. Now it just seems like a chain food restaurant.

Nowhere near as good as it once was. I love the location; you don't expect a place like that to be there. The food however leaves a lot to be desired.

I remember the good old days when the original was on the other side of the river/bayou/canal. Then Pat got divorced, his wife got the restaurant, and he opened in his current location. Curiously, the original kept burning down.

Just curious as to what you order? Last time I ordered some turtle soup that tasted like swampwater and a seafood platter which sucked as well. Best thing was the damn strawberry daiquiri with whipped cream and getting the little smashed penny from that machine.

I used to go Pat's each time I visited the family. It's not what it was, the last time we went it was a ghost town in there.

It's so hidden I quit even thinking about it years ago. It got bad and is not even on my radar.

If you're referring to th one in LC then you have a terrible palate. That place is garbage. Went 2 years ago with high hopes. Piccadilly uses more seasoning than that place. Sorry dude.

Used to be awesome when I was at LSU. Last time I ate there was about seven years ago and was disappointed. Ralph and Kacoo's used to be awesome decades ago. Things change.

Its not as bad as some people say but its not all that either. Robin's ftw, best stuffed crab in greater laffy area.
