Looking to purchase one. Anyone have any experience with one? I've heard nothing but good things, but of course I have to consult the OB before any final call is made.

How much did you pay for it? The prices are outrageous everywhere I look. I may have to get one used.

Man I just bought a Super Vinci and I don't think I can be any happier. New Benelli shotguns will run the same no matter where you look.

Havent checked out the Vinci. I'll look now.

We have a couple Vincis.... Some guys r havin a problem with the trigger guards hittin their fingers while shootin 3.5s - i havent shot it to see what the prob is.... Different guns, different camps... One guy is 35 and one is 65. Both were SBEII before now

Haven't tried Vinci, but I'd go Browning Maxus before SBE2...

All of the semis from Beretta, Benelli, Browning are very well made and will last forever with the proper care. Can't go wrong with either. I also have a Vinci and love it, but i would gladly shoot any of those. Get whatever you are comfortable with. I hunt with guys who put the hurt on some birds with just about every top of the line gun on the market.

I have an SBEII and the Super Vinci. I love them both but use the Super Vinci more since its lighter and well newer.
I'd be careful on a used SBEII. Most used ones I've seen were very used and not in great shape and were still expensive.

If all you shoot is 3" or 2 3/4", the best shooting gun is the Benelli Cordoba, hands down. It cannot be beat in any aspect, IMO. If you can afford a SBEII, you can afford a Cordoba. Well worth the investment to last a lifetime.

For those shooting the sbe II, I'm looking to buy and aftermarket extended choke for mine. Do y'all have any recommendations?

You would have been more correct if you had said Beretta 391.

I will give you my buddies number whose benelli is being sent back as we speak. Stay out the benelli guru click. Get an extrema and never look back.

+1 Love my Maxus. SBEII and Maxus are both great guns, but for me the Maxus was more comfortable. It's lighter, cheaper, and shoulders better for me.
Camo Browning Maxus under $1,300>>>>Camo SBEII $1,599 IMO

That link is from champion firearms in college station? Call them and get a price, they're always ~10% cheaper than most places. Got cabelas here to match champion's price (since I have their business card) on my super vinci and saved a little over 170!

I can give you the name of a friend of mine that has had nothing but trouble out of not one but two Extremas.
I'm not trying to bash Beretta as I have an O/U that I adore. Just pointing out that your arguement is stupid and there is alway someone out there that has had a problem with it.
Any of the 3 B's make great guns and you won't be disappointed with any of them.

I agree.
The Beretta is a gas operated action where Benelli is Inertia. Inertia handles mud and water better but also kicks harder. I know people that have had problems with both.

I have owned both and still have my 10 year old extrema 1. I shot a birds without shouldering my gun completely which will result in the shell not kicking out with the inertia. I am not a fan of benelli to each his own. I know if im not buying a beretta it would be an SX3
