Both play DB and seem caught up in a ton of drama with a parental figure on signing day.

Janzen Jackson was probably just as good as LC. The difference is that LC is not as big of a head case as Janzen.

That's a good one. Kind of like comparing bread and rice. They are both white..... They are both derived from plants....
No wait, that comparison sucks. LC has had zero problems with authority. The comparison really ends at they both have all American talent.

was janzen running a 4.39 with a 43 inch vertical outta high school? dont think so

Rivals says 4.43 40 and 37" vertical, but it would not surprise me at all to learn that Janzen's numbers were as good as Landon's. Kid was an athletic freak and true playmaker on the field. His senior highlights were about the sickest I've seen.

Janzen was/is quite the athlete...

You're obsessed. This is sad

of course he was and the fact that he didnt go to LSU was prolly one of the biggest mistakes of his life. Him with the LSU DB coaching wouldve just been awesome.. oh well

I think that Collins is more athletic, but Janzen was a better, more fundamentally sound DB. He was a more natural football player despite not being quite as athletic

Can't wait to see this end on Fed 2

Collins is the real deal. He will play for the Tide in 2012. Probably start in the 2013.

I would agree with that.

Useless thread, but I'll play along.
Maybe. We'll find out Wednesday when he calls Corch Saban to tell him he's waiting for his mom to be on scene for him to fax his LOI, and he'll be doing so Thursday. Then he'll fax it to LSU. Then he'll be 2012's Janzen Jackson.

The Landon Collins deal is ridiculous! Im so over it he is an AMAZING player that chose to go to our division rival over staying home. If he changes his mind GREAT if not we will be fine!! His brother is the real deal down in NOLA we should turn our sights to him and make sure that the same thing doesn't happen again considering that it has been reported that the two brothers have talked about playing together.

hopefully collins has the same fate as ole janzen

Agree. Jackson is a better pure DB than Collins at the same stage of development. Collins is a better athlete but it's not as big a difference as some suggest. Collins is nothing like Jackson as far as recruiting drama. Collins lied but at least he didn't commit to LSU and hold the staff hostage until the day after signing day. Collins at least had the courtesy to commit in January.

I don't know but his mom was quoted just now on channel 6 new orleans as saying nick Saban told landon he would give his girlfriend a job if he commited to bama.
