When you burn enough bridges, eventually you will have nowhere to cross.

Favre knows how he feels

Isn't he part owner of the team? Now that is funny.

How do you get released from a team you partially own? This guy should never play football again. I use to enjoy watching him play but there are other pro guys out there with the heart for the game.

That sounds like grounds for a lawsuit from TO to be honest.
We'd have to see the terminology of his contract but if he's "not required to play in some road games" how can you void his contract for refusing to play in 2 road games? For not showing up to a children's hospital event you can lose an ownership stake in a franchise?
Prolly haven't heard the last of this IMO.

Owens signed a much-hyped deal with the Wranglers, giving him a piece of the team. But it paid Owens only for home games. His participation in road games hinged on the willingness of the other team to sweeten the pot.
Owens should sue the owner's arse off. He was essentially cut out of ownership stake for no-showing to a Children's Hospital. That's ridiculous.
I can understand being cut from the team for unprovable "commitment issues", but having his ownership contract voided with no legal backing (at least from the news we've heard so far) is grounds for suit.

They signed him for publicity and he was no longer needed so they cut him for publicity. Like Josh Maravich and the Santa Barbara Breakers.

But there could be more to it than just what is being reported.

He was released, he didn't quit.

Well, he may have been cut from the IFL team, but he's the MVP of the IFaiL team. Amiright!? :rimshot:
