"Yeah, it's hard to believe it was 10 years ago," Henderson, a New Orleans Saints deep threat receiver for the past nine seasons, said this week after a Saints practice. "You get reminded of it so often. People don't really let you forget it, so it doesn't really seem like 10 years. Every time I got back to LSU, I get reminded of it even more. It was just great to be a part of something like that and just be remembered in history."
When asked the name of the play, Henderson answered without hesitation – "Dash Right 93 Berlin."
Florida coach Will Muschamp was LSU's defensive coordinator that day, and he was so mad at his defense that he did not even pause to watch the last play.
"It was one of the more unusual games I've ever been a part of," Muschamp said this week. "We just felt like we cost ourselves the game. We stunk on defense that day. Honestly, I was walking off the field, and I got to the bottom of the numbers before I realized we had scored. You hardly ever see those plays hit. I was just kind of walking, thinking about different things we could've done game-plan wise, call wise. We didn't call a very good game.
"I got to the bottom of the numbers, and I realized all these players are running by me. And I'm thinking, 'What in the world could our players be happy about right now?' And I realized Devery had made the catch. I was like a lot of Kentucky fans. They didn't realize we had scored either."

Thanks for a solid Saints career Devery. He sure grew out of his early bad dropsies and became a reliable deep threat.

Probably the most improbable Hail Mary I've ever seen. Too bad I turned off the tv about 2 minutes before the play

me and my dad were renovating our house that weekend and we had the game on a little TV. My dad left the room after Kentucky took the lead, but I stayed to watch.
After that play, he thought I was BSing him when I was frantically running around the house like a mad man!

I watched the whole thing.
It is the main reason why I watch games to the bitter end every time.

And he has the record breaking catch from Drew also.
Devery will go down as one of the most memorable and humble players in Louisiana sports history.
I pray every day he retires a Saint.

man I thought I was the only one who feels this way.
I love Devery. humble, hard working, team player. Never understood the ones who every year say Devery needs to go....Devery is a great Louisianian IMO

I was there watching the play unfold as all the UK fans around me were celebrating, then I started jumping up & down laughing my arse off when Devery made the catch. The look on their faces was priceless.

He has a ring with LSU and the Saints. That is just incredible. Born and raised in Louisiana, he is the embodiment of the dream for most athletes.
Think about how long he has been here (2004). And i have never seen him celebrate like an obnoxious a-hole, ive never seen him make stupid remarks to the media, ive never seen him run his mouth in an interview.
The guy just gives his heart, soul, blood, and sweat to the Saints day in and day out.
Devery is the frickin man.

I stormed out of the room pissed off prior to the play. My mom started cheering in the other room (was home for the weekend). I thought "why the frick is she cheering...damn I hate it when women try to watch football"
I was pleasantly surprised.

an even more in depth look at Devery both at LSU & his career with the Saints.
Henderson has averaged 18.3 yards per reception since 2006, the highest total in the NFL. Of his 219 catches in the same period, 46 have been for gains for 25 yards or more.
Ya can tell how kewl it is for him to have been on both a BCS & SB champ in his home state
