How Come New Orleans doesn't have an MLB team?

not enough people in Nola? Too hot??
I think it would be awesome to have a team and start following the mlb more frequently than i do now.

New Orleans would never support it. We're just not diehard for every sport like Boston, New York, etc. This is a football city. The Pelicans barely survive.
