A cotton blanket is what I use. Plenty warm enough for a LA winter.

I was using a microplush blanket and was getting too hot. I keep the air on 70 at night. A blanket is a necessity for me, so I went to target and got something thinner. No problems so far, here's a pic so you can see the texture. It's by Target's brand Threshold and it's 100% cotton
