I've no idea why on Earth someone would have deleted my prior thread. Worse crap than that is posted on here daily and, it was the words of a guy who has been a fan a LONG frickING TIME. So, I guess I'll let you deleted it again.
A lot of you guys assume that what you call "negatigers" are "bandwagon" fans.
Perhaps some are. But, can tell you that I've watched, listened to or attended every LSU game played since at least 1985, probably longer. I can recall sitting in my car because for whatever reason, it was the only radio that could SORT OF catch the static bull shite all the way to Florida back when games weren't on TV all the time. Half the time, I literally would lose the play by play and try and judge by crowd reaction how a play went. If at Tiger Stadium and I heard the crowd roar, I got excited!!
I can recall sitting there listening to games coached by Hallman, Archer, Dinardo, and even Jerry Stovall. To Quarterbacks like Daigle and Loup. I LISTENED to the Earthquake game cause that's all I had!
Half you frickers don't even know who Stovall was.
I can recall being a big fan of a skinny fast white boy named Sammy Martin. I can remember another awesome guy to watch, Eric Martin, a converted RB that turned into a good WR. I remember when Tommy Hodson hit the scene and we were all so thrilled to have a QB that looked like he might be able to carry us.
I remember guys like AJ Duhe and becoming a Dolphin fan for a bit just because of how much I liked him.
So, frickity frick you if you want to act all damned superior and like you're a "real" LSU fan. frickITY frick YOU!
I'll bet $100 but that supposed "positigers" are no more likely to hang on board if LSU reverts to Hallman like performance than are supposed "negatigers". I'll bet that if there ever comes a point where "pumping" just stops making any sense at all, a bunch of them will also fade into the background.
Ya know why I say that. Because when I was in the stands during the Hallman years, EVERYONE was bitching but, WE WERE THERE!!! There wasn't anyone around us telling us how much more football Hallman knew than us just because he was "paid to coach football". There wasn't anyone around us telling us we weren't "real" fans when LSU was getting pounded by Florida and I had the misfortune of being in attendance. I used to DRIVE from Tampa to BR starting on Saturday AM to attend LSU games when I had the chance during this godforsaken era of Tiger football. Just to get a taste of my nostalgia for Tiger Stadium.
So, frickITY frick YOU assholes talking about being "real" fans. frick YOU TWICE.
Either way, I can guarantee you one thing. IN 20 years, I'll still be watching LSU football even if they are going 4-8 regularly and I'll be hoping for resurgence. Just like I was when I endured Hallman.
So............yeah............frick you.

When mediocrity is the result of unnecessary blind stupidity, that's where I draw the line.
I was there too, Pal.

I started at LSU in 1992 and that football season was the greatest collection of saturdays I'll ever have. I remember going out and partying with the opposing fans and they were just shocked we were having so much damn fun, the place was electric. They knew we wouldn't trade our situation for a W in football. I think all the "real" fans killed that experience. That, or we were last generation of '18 to drink' LSU fans and everyone just turned into huge pussies. LSU was the best 8 years of my life and I get perma-grin just walking onto the campus.
