Who has the best shrimp and grits in BR? Wife has requested that for Mother's Day.

I just did a Google search of your post title and the top result was: True Grit: 7 Places to get Shrimp & Grits in the Capital City

I think several of the places on that list are closed, and one is members only.
Nice job

Le Creole does a very good shrimp and grits, as does Beausoleil.

That does not surprise me. Their food items in general have gotten extremely meh over the past couple of years. Their biggest problem is consistency.
City Cafe makes the worst shrimp n grits ever. I need to try the ones at Chimes.

I know where you absolutely should NOT get them.
Bistro Byronz.

Shrimp n grits and chicken n waffles are popular dishes these days. I should go get some corn grits from Zea and put some homemade bbq shrimp on top of them.
...Chicken & waffles has just never sounded like a good combo to me.

I, too, prefer my shrimp and grits to just be BBQ shrimp over grits. Not a fan of other variations of the sauce.

Completely agree .. The only consistent thing on their menu seems to be the gumbo .. which is still one of the better ones in BR .. but a lot of the other items are just inconsistent .. it is really good place to drink with cheap wines by the bottle and cheap beer .. but the food has gotten expensive .. the George O'Neal location was a lot better when Frank was managing it ..

I love the food at the bocage location. The lasagna, fried ravioli and meatballs are very good.

And both are equally unappealing, in my book.

I may need to start going to Bocage, then ..

I prefer braised short ribs over my grits. Never been a shrimp and grit fan.

I've had some great Shrimp and grits at Juban's Sunday Brunch. Hard to pass on the Hallelujah Crab though, so I usually get one of each to share with the GF. Wash it down with some Cade SB and Canebrake. Then go home for a nap.

I had Roberto's appetizer last week. Forgot how good it is with the grit cake

And most places charge a good bit for it.
