#1 UCLA lost 2/3 of this past weekend
Texas is no one teams want in their regional, they will be in the Houston, TCU or Dallas Baptist regional likely. I'm sure A&M Texas meeting is what NCAA wants but A&M does have representation on committee

Would take D1's projections
Radford or Tulane in the regional final
then probably Rice/Houston
Our half wouldnt include A&M, Vandy, UF, OM, Virginia, FSU, USC, UCLA, DBU, NCST, Texas, CofC
Teams we would potentially have to deal with in Omaha:
L'ville, Mo St, TCU, Arky, Ore St, Ill, Ok St, ASU, CSF, Cal, Indiana
Radford or Tulane in the regional final

The Texas thing is pathetic. They beat two shite teams including one of them twice who immediately fired their coach (Baylor) to reach the final of that garbage Big 12 tournament. Then they beat OK State's midweek pitching (and gift-giving errors) in the final that didn't mean shite to the Cowboys. Result? An NCAA bid.
But that's fine. They got the auto bid with their big 86 RPI. But why do the Horns get to be a 3-seed exactly? Name? Perceived potential? That's not how it should work, and I hope the A&M guy on the committee has his say on it.

FWIW... D1 has Tulane as 1 of the "last 5 in" but as a 3 seed in BR
they see them as better than some of the other small school champions

I think "brand name" isnt the reason why but I can see why people would think that.
Just tons of weak auto bids this year. Any other year I would have Texas a 4. I have Texas as my last #3.

There are 13 auto bid teams with RPI's worse than Texas so it's not a real stretch to make them a 3 seed.

Exactly, and as discussed on the D1 podcast, the team that would take Texas back to a 4 seed is 2-8 vs top 100.

Big 12 might have tanked it to get an extra team in since they were only projected for 2, someone definitely got screwed by Texas but that's the way it is
