It's a good concept, but the author rushed it out to be the first to do it. There are way better jokes and comments to be made about the flags, other than "Oh boy, let's make a flag with a tree on it."

Made me realize how few state flags I know. Also made me appreciate that we didn't emblazon "LOUISIANA" across our flag.

Never liked it. Too detailed. I don't like words on flags, and I hate the symbolism of government being the magnanimous, caretaking mother to the helpless, parasitic citizens.
Flag would be tons better if it was simply a silhouette of a lone pelican.
