Not talking about cancer(RIP Mom) or any of the likes, just your average cold/flu.

Yesterday I played basketball while I was severely dehydrated. Didn't realize how dehydrated I was until I got home.

If you've ever been very dehydrated, you know what I experienced. Couldn't keep food down, even water. Had severe stomach cramps all night long. Ate for the first time today in 30 hours. Still feeling like crap.

In retrospect I probably should've gone and gotten an IV last night.

As far as severity wise, I think that's the sickest I've ever been. Definitely not longevity wise, though.

Edit: At one point I was throwing up, and I accidentally crapped myself...That's quite the pickle. So I sat on the toilet and threw up into the tub.

Mono. I missed 9 weeks of school in high school. My throat was so swollen I had to cut my pills into pieces to get them to go down.

1. After getting a good buzz on mojitos at LaCaretta and eating a shite ton of queso & chips, I decided to order a burrito covered in queso. Ate the whole thing and all the cheese. It was that day I realized I had lactose issues. I have never been in such abdominal pain in my life.

2. Mono in high school. Couldn't eat, couldn't drink much. 103+ fever for a few days followed by overwhelming weakness and light fever for another week. Thought I was dying. Total recovery took like 2 months before I started feeling normal again.

Fortunately for me I don't get sick very often, and if I do its usually a 24-48 hour deal. I did get the flu one time in college for about 5-6 days. That's probably the sickest I've been.

Diarrhea and vomit for the first 4 days, and an achy body. I also couldn't keep anything down and probably lived off of Nyquil. I pretty much ate soup and ramen the whole time.

Pneumonia with a severe bronchial infection. Woke up one morning feeling like hot crap, dragged through the day. Woke up the next morning feeling damn near dead with my pillows covered in thick green slime and a little blood. Went out for morning group PT and fell out. Came to in the hospital with the docs packing ice under my arms and behind my head and giving me saline water intravenously. My temperature got up to 105.2. After they got it down to 102 I was sent back to my room and quarantined on bed rest for a week with visits by the doc or a nurse three times a day to give me all manner of medications. I probably slept 20 hours straight that first night, though I have hazy memories of people coming and going to check on me.

As far as pain, gallbladder attack. As far as absolute sickness, some kind of virus when I was 12 years old. 103 fever, delirious and didn't know my own family for about 24 hours.

twice... mono when i was a teen, ran fever for 3 weeks. Felt like death!

other time was when i had an allergic reaction to seafood, a major reaction. Got all the shots at the ER, and felt good the next morning so i played in a softball tourny... well one game, and i was back at the ER dehydrated with heart racing (from the epi the night before) was sick as a dog for a few weeks after that, found out had pneumonia and was sick for another few weeks. It was one big cluster. Lost like 35lbs in 2 months (and im not big). It just really messed up my system

Had stomach flu when I was a kid. Kept me in the hospital for 3 days. Food poisoning is probably the worst thing I can remember recently. It only lasted a day or so but I couldn't sleep and feeling like I was going to shite my pants every time I thew up wasn't pleasant either.

I got a really high fever once as a kid. I was borderline delusional and was speaking complete nonsense like I was in a dream.
