I see a lot of people on here saying that not naming the starter "is a good thing".. ya know, keep them boys motivated and whatnot. But I have to disagree. I find that when a man is shoved into a position, be it at work or play he will push himself more... Not wanting to screw up and also not wanting to let down the person that saw potential in you. At least that's my way of thinking.

What does the rant think??

Either way, hope them boys get it done this year!!!

The QB situation will play out just like it did in 2011.

Les wants one guy to be his quarterback.
The WRs want one guy to be their quarterback.
The quarterback wants to be the only quarterback.

I promise you that two weeks before the opener, everyone who wears an LSU uniform knows who the starting QB is going to be.

Yeah I get that... What I'm saying is.. If you know you have the job. Do you preform better than not knowing? Is there resentment? Is it mentally distracting to them?

We lose 20 yds/game through the air every day we dont name one. It's that big of a deal.

Since both quarterbacks already know who the starter is, does it matter?

I would think it would be better for the team and QB to know sooner rather than later.
But I guess thats why im not the coach.
