The complications of a venue change for ticket holders

If anyone can provide insight as to how this might actually work, I'd like to hear it. Anyone recall how it worked post-Katrina?
If the game is moved to Tiger Stadium, here's a simple (well, seemingly simple) solution:
Let McNeese ticket holders use their stubs to enter.
USCe fans could use their tickets on a first-come, first-served basis--find a seat where you can.

1st offer people with tickets to the game in columbia to exchange.
2nd give season ticket holders a day to claim their seats if not already taken.
3rd open up to general public.
The problem with letting people use mcneese tickets is that they are already refunded. You can't possibly have a system where it's "you scan your ticket in, we charge the account it was originally on x amount of dollars" because tickets have changed hands in hundreds or thousands of exchanges.

If I recall correctly, LSU season ticket holders were given the chance to reserve a ticket to the game in Tempe, which they were to pick up at will-call at ASU's stadium. They had to call in to the LSU ticket office to get on the will-call list. After a day or two and all season ticket holders who wanted to travel to Arizona for the game had called in to reserve tickets to pick up at will-call, the remainder of the seats were sold to the public (or maybe ASU season ticket holders first and then the public).

That won't work (see answer above about refunds).
My guess is:
Everyone with a ticket for the game in Columbia gets a refund.
Then they do something along the lines of season ticket holders get priority, then open to the public sales

Lsu season ticket holders first, we give USC the standard visitor allotment. Then open it up to the public. We break USC off with a little extra dough for the inconvenience. Everyone leaves happy

We put a man on the moon. I'm sure someone can figure out a football game.

Won't work. I've already been refunded by LSU for three seats in South End Zone (season ticket holder). LSU is not going to double-dip - refund for McNeese and let me into SC game for free.

Please don't try to use logic in here!

$40 at the gate sit where you get

there are so many factors to take into account here. You can give season ticket holders the right of first refusal. However, how many people who are season ticket holders ACTUALLY go to the game and not sell their tickets to a 3rd party. I am not talking about scalping either. I am talking about the people whose name is on the account and just doesn't want to lose the tickets and can't go. So, they sell them to an aunt, friend, sister, or complete stranger.

I still have my stadium club stubs from Mcneese you think they would work

I didn't realize the refunds had already been issued. I still have my ticket that my season-ticket-holder friend gave me.
I just hope they don't wait too long to announce the new venue. Ticketing could be a nightmare.

My guess is one way or another they announce tomorrow.
Either WBS/Columbia will be good to go... Or they have to give LSU at least a few days to get TS ready

This is Louisiana- we have few rights - so
1. Louisiana Politicians get first choice
2. SC politicians get next choice
3. TAF will control tickets based on your donation amount
4. The rest will go on sale at 5am day of the game and let the scalping and mugging begin

I lived 2 miles from the ASU stadium during Katrina. Most tickets were free. Anyone could show up and get in free. I decided not to go to the game.....

When LSU went to ASU. They opened the gate and set out buckets for people to drop donations in for the relief effort.
Wish they would go this route. I'd be in line tomorow with my donation lol

If the game is moved to BR, what about those of us who bought tickets through Stubhub? Stubhub claims our tickets will be valid but I'm 99% sure the tickets we bought were an LSU season ticket holders tickets. If LSU ups and changes the ticket issuance rules what happens to those of us who bought tickets this way?

This would very likely lead to violent chaos.
