If Les picks an up and comer or "coach in waiting" OC then Les chose change in offensive philosophy over termination.

If he picks one of his buddies and we see little to no change to start next season at Wisconsin then the hayride article would've gotten this thing right.

I don't think that any "established" oc would come here for the money just to possibly get fired after the season because of the shite show that we have right now. at least......I wouldn't.

Even the Hayride article acknowledged that Miles agreed to open up the offense next year with Alleva.

I'd expect the '16 offense to be similarly based on I-Formation and power running, but with a lot more variation and creativity. CCC's 'vertical passing' system, which even NFL QB's struggle with, will be gone.

I sure hope it happens but I'll believe it when I see it

That was before the final decision. Les has the leverage now. Don't expect a change.

Meh. That article made some solid points, but some of the assumptions it made were over the top, and made the entire premise clearly slanted to the point of being a bit too over the top and thus lost lots of credibility for me.

We saw a little of that last night, with the flea-flicker, the reverses to Guice, etc.

Realistically, if the LSU offense had a modest passing attack - I'll again reference Iowa (frickING IOWA!!!) as a benchmark - they'd be winning 2-3 more games a year.

There are plenty of coaches who could accomplish that. There are no more excuses, though. LSU either has a functioning offense next year, or Les is gone.

Get what?? Trying to make sense of this fiasco. Booger's take on the SEC after show was spot on. Les is NOT untouchable.

What Alleva did last night was give Miles TOTAL control. Les knows this.
Les knew they were going after Jimbo and if Jimbo did not get the job he then held all the cards. He probably gave Alleva the wink in the agreement handshake and walked away and chuckled.
Les may coach dumb, be he is not a dumb guy.

Total control over what? LSU can fire him next year. Les bought himself a year probably mostly bc of his top rated recruiting clas. That is it.

I seriously doubt that. The last two weeks completely changed the hierarchy of power in the athletic department. I'd be surprised if Alleva stays much longer.

Alleva may be gone but that doesn't make Miles untouchable for next AD. If it's more of the same then he will gone.
