That's how I do it. Have to be careful though. Had one this year where a BB broke the rabbits rib and when I squeezed that sharp little rib came through the skin and stabbed my finger pretty good

My dad taught me this when I was a little kid. I've done it many times, except for the slinging carcass between your legs part. It's easy. Packing around a bunch of rabbits with guys in them gets heavy.

My brother is a falconer. He does a similar thing to the rabbits his bird catches in the field.
