Seems like a good guy from a good family. I'll be pulling for him.

He will be a monster in Aranda's system.

Article says he already gained 15lbs and is up to 240.

If he's up to 240lbs then it's only a matter of time before he takes over and becomes the starter.

I really think he'll be starting at some point this year, if not at the beginning.

Arden and him could be BEASTS covering and also locking down the middle in plays, where Beckwith might be lined up as a standup DE...... I believe Aranda will have many exotic plays for these bulls to wreck havoc

This is more a question of my ignorance but the article stated that Divinity plays the Jack LB in Highschool. I always pictured him as being a the other MLB next to KB in a 3-4. do I have it wrong, is he an edge rusher?

If so, I think that kind of hurts his chances to start early cuz he will have to battle guys like Arden Key and other lighter DEs as an edge rusher.

Not trying to be insensitive, but maybe he gained weight so easily because he has food whenever he wants it for free. (and expensive supplements)

Good for that kid. Seems his parents are good people are worked their arse off to provide for their family despite lack of education helping them.

He can be both, it just depends on the scheme. His highlight tape really reminds me of Kwon Alexander. He's that sideline to sideline linebacker that flys across the field.

If he's actually up to 240 he's gotta be starting pretty quickly out of the gate, right? hopefully game one.

Not really. Minter was 240 out of HS and he needed time to adjust to the college game. I hope he comes in and dominates, but we tend to get a little too optimistic over true freshmen.
