If we can get him could you imagine perilloux running his offence. With KW doing his slaton impression. Trindon being the noel. I'm sold.

who will run it when RP is gone?
Posted on 11/29/07 at 4:44 pm to tigersince79
definately fits, but why dont we just get an OC that runs his offense to come in? They could be an assistant.

You have two years to recruit another one.

RP is a pocket passer. He wouldnt be a great fit in this offense.

you hope he has that time....

RANTARDS, listen to yourselves and try to maintain some class and dignity.
Rich Rodriquez was born in West Virginia, raised in West Virginia, played college ball at West Virginia (BTW, known for offenses, played DB in college), is the head coach at West Virginia, and is #1 in the current BCS rankings.
Why on earth would he leave there and come to LSU? If he didn't take the oodles of money to go to Bama, he's not leaving.

What the hell are you talking about? Check it out he is a dual threat QB.

1. No way he leaves WVU
2. RP isn't an option QB.

If LSU could get RR do you think Darron Thomas would be back on board with us?? He would be perfect in his style of offense!!
Posted on 11/29/07 at 4:49 pm to Angler
Can you imagine RP learning all those option reads? Better start learning playbook now so he can play in 2009.

Notice I said "imagine if". Agreed, I dont think he is coming. About perriloux not being a fit check out Suan Kings stats at Tulane. But you are right that there is about as good a chance of roriguez coming as perriloux staying out of trouble are very slim.

RP ran the option this year and did a pretty good job of it.

The biggest reason RR is not coming --- MUCH, MUCH, MUCH, easier to get to the BCS and NCG at WV.

Dual threat just means he can run and pass.
He isnt suited to run the kind of option Rodriguez runs.
He's a pocket passer. Ask him. The way Crowton used Flynn this year is the perfect way to utilize RP's abilities running the ball. RR would be too much running for him

Still feeling the same about this?
Oh what a difference a couple of days make...
A week ago the RANTards were wanting to run Miles out of town on a rail after the Arkansas loss!
Wanting to declare him as unworthy of coaching LSU because he had let our chance at a NC game slip away.
"IF ONLY" we could get someone like Rodriguez...they salivated!
Oh the IRONY!!!
