ESPN alert:

Cristiano Ronaldo slams Iceland's "small mentality" after they celebrate 1-1 draw "like they'd won the Euros."

I could be wrong but to me Ronaldo acts like he has a big ego.

Don't teams almost always celebrate a tie in which they were down? Particularly in the first game of a group stage

I don't know if many celebrate like Iceland did.

However, Iceland is a small team.

Likely the smallest that'll ever make the Euros and they just held a traditional power to a draw that puts them in a decent position for an historic trip to the knockout rounds in front of almost a tenth of the population of their entire country.

Why shouldn't they celebrate like a small team?

It's ok, because Portugal plays like a team with small talent.

Was Portugal bad today? Did Iceland bunker?

This.

It's like when Tahiti scored against Spain in the least Confederations Cup to make things, I believe, 1-1 and they acted like they just won the world cup. I'm pretty sure they ended up losing like 8-1.

They've consistently outdone Belgium and aren't that off the mark of Holland (imagine the potential of the historic Nederland, which would be holland and Flemish Belgium).

Yea that is what I was thinking. For some perspective, in 4 club home games, Ronaldo plays in front of roughly the entire population of Iceland

They celebrated so hard, it's like they just scored the fourth goal in a 4-1 win in the Champions League final, right, Cristiano?

Iceland bunkered and tried to counter but didn't really get out very often at all. Very organized and the GK made some fantastic saves but they also just cleared long hopeful balls much of the match.

Portugal wasn't really that bad but really lacked some finishing and you could say the RB really fell asleep on Iceland's goal (though, of course, Iceland did finish it whereas CR7 had a couple of great chances and didn't.)
