I'm in Dallas, so I'm aware of their success as a club from top to bottom. Are there other really good academies in the US?

FCD U16 Academy just won their second NC in a row.

FCD U18 Acdemy also won the title.

FCD U15 Premier lost in the semis

FCD U14 finished the season unbeaten. With a goal differential of like 80.

And then FCD sits in first place in MLS right now.

I know Chicago has a good academy. Anyone else even close to FCD?

Is it good these days? It was pretty poor when it first started. My team would destroy their first team and we would get destroyed by the Sockers and Magic.

Earnie Stewart just started one in Philly that sounds like it has all the right standards in place to be great

I am excited about the futures of Atlanta, LAFC, and Miami.

Why are you excited about Miami? There's not even a franchise there yet. I'm excited to see what Stewart does with philly.

Didn´t FC Dallas families house predominately RM babies for two months during the summer?

Babies meaning 12-15 year olds.

Atlanta seems to have a good plan in place for its academy. We'll see. Georgia has produced some serious soccer talent for a region of the country that hasn't fully embraced the game.

Well, all indications are that there will be a club in Miami and I am excited about what Beckham and his management team could accomplish there. I can't remember where I saw them exactly but I've read a few pieces/interviews of Beckham discussing the club and his ideas/goals for the academy.

I am very hopeful that the presence of Atlanta United and its infrastructure will mine talent in Georgia and really take soccer to a new level in the South.

I don't know about Chicago particularly, but the MLS teams improved pretty rapidly. It's hard for unaffiliated youth teams to compete with them (hence that lawsuit). Dallas was the same as what you described at the beginning. Players weren't leaving Solar, Texans, etc. for FC Dallas initially, but clearly that has changed.

Good to see the development aspect of US soccer coming along.

We shall not rest until we are dominant at every sport in the world

Redbulls and Galaxy seem to routinely develop talent.

Sockets still has a great program. But I feel like I've seen Chicago pop up more and more during the tournaments.

And yea, RSL and Galaxy are always there also.
