Are there any team that will not make the playoffs under the current system?

I believe you have the wrong board, sir.

There's a couple classes where like 10 teams get left home but for the most part no

1 win now a days almost guarantee you a playoff stop.

Division I had 10 playoff participants in 2015; there are 10 Division I schools
Division II had 11; there are 12 Division II schools (Ben Franklin elects not to participate in playoffs)
Divisions III & IV had 16; Division III has 21 schools, IV has 27
--------------------------------------------------
68 teams total (not counting BF), 37 playoff participants
Classes 5A, 4A, 3A & 2A had 32 each; 53 schools in 5A, 51 in 4A, 52 in 3A, 37 in 2A
Class 1A had 25; 30 schools in 1A
--------------------------------------------------
223 non-select scohols; 153 playoff participants
I'm pretty sure there are a few non-selects that elect not to compete for district honors and thus forego the playoffs (Grace King? Riverdale?)

it's unfair that some teams get in the playoffs for fogging a mirror, like soon to be 1-9 Shaw and whatever 0-10 2A teams get in, but nonselect 3A, 4A, and 5A teams actually have to win a few games
i was pissed when Chalmette got left out a few years ago at 5-5, ending the season with 4 wins in a row, 4-1 in district, because we lost a lead in the last minute to John Ehret

Blame the principals, they are the idiots who created this "better" system. Some of the principals were so eager to force a split/try and hurt private schools that they never bothered to come up with a good plan.
Common sense would say to not rush into a major, association altering change without first formulating a solid, concrete plan. Yet, they rushed it through as fast as possible. Absolute failure on all levels.
Some just want to get into the playoffs without working for it or have an easy route to the Dome, which is really sad/pathetic.
