It will do away with the deductibility of federal taxes for tax purposes for corporations big and small.
Since when are taxes not expenses? How do they differ from a light bill a company might have?
The feds let companies deduct as expenses the state taxes they pay. Why should Louisiana refuse to allow a company to deduct their federal taxes?
It is a huge tax increase put through by the business hater JBE and his friends.
VOTE NO.

Voted NO because a YES means "frick small businesses"

Whether or not it is a tax increase depends on how you do the math. Right now all net income over $200,000 is taxed at 8%. The amendment reduces that to 6.5%. That could be a significant change for a good many corporations.
