Similar. If you remember Reagan was going to cut social security so old people would be kicked out of their homes and was portrayed as trigger happy with the nukes.

I was 10...but I remember watching the results come in with my family and my dad and mom being shocked...my entire family were democrats back then...

My brother and I were the first republicans in the family...by 2000 my family had made the switch and become republicans...

Yes. It is similar. The totals won't reach Reagan in 80 but it has a similar feel.
