I truly don't understand this narrative. So many saying voting for a white male is racist. Does this mean they will no longer ever nominate a white male?

black lady interviewed on NPR this morning on the way in. forgot her name, and i thought they said she's the writer or something for the tv show EMPIRE, she straight up said that this was a racist movement and she fears for her 10 year old daughter.
