He accomplished every KBG operative since 1917's wet dream: influence the internal affairs of a western adversary. He's undermined NATO; he'll have a free hand in the middle east and what he considers his sphere of influence in Eastern and Central Europe; our traditional allies are reconsidering their intelligence-sharing protocols. I expect the tacit US-Saudi oil pumping agreement to end, raising the price and giving Putin more cash to play with. He's probably sitting back with a vodka and a Cuban cigar.
