I made a thread a month ago asking why the hell anyone would want to go to this or to the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade
Standing in thestreet surrounded by hundreds of thousands of people out in cold weather just sounds miserable

Why are you wondering where people are taking shits?
Seems like a personal problem when you start thinking about this.

I don't know what would make people want to go out there and wait for midnight.. Is there anything fun at all about being in the middle of a million people? Do they sell alcohol and if so, if you are not near where they sell it, how long does it take to guy buy a drink every time you need another one?

Ask the hobos who live near Times Square.

Exactly. They wear diapers.

A friend of mine did the new York times square thing one year. He said that was a real issue. Also, super incredibly crowded, and they could barely see the ball drop when it happened.

You pee where you are standing. Everyone does it. Unfortunately no exaggeration. That is the worst part of it...followed closely by many other things.

Seriously? I bet it smells wonderful around there when midnight hits.

Just imagine the ones who have to defecate. Having a good ole time and then,

No drinking in public in NY

Got back last night from NYC
Was told it's common place for people to piss themselves because bathrooms are scarce to say the least.
They're hard to find even when 2-3m people aren't in Times Square.

Was just now telling someone about this while watching it on TV. Good friend went two years ago and said it was awful. They left after a couple of hours because there isn't anywhere to go and no where to get a drink. Tickets to the Applebee's were like $250 to get in.

We just got back on Wednesday after spending Christmas there. Hotel was in midtown but we largely stayed away from Times Square. The time we did walk through it was bad. And that was on the day after Christmas. No way you could convince me to spend NYE there
