Has to be one of the most underachieving clubs.
Calhanoglu just got banned 4 months. Chicharito sucks. How long can Roger Schmidt last. Shouldn't be much longer.
Lost to Hamburg today on a goal by Papadopoulous...who is on loan from them.
I know Brandt is gone this summer. We'll see how they reinvest that.

Did not realize this. That's hilarious. Can't believe they didn't have a clause preventing him from playing against them.

Woods played a great game today, shame he didn't get a goal

Did he come close in the first half, around the 30' mark? I hear gasps and then they panned in on him but I missed the action that preceded it.

I could be wrong, but I think some leagues have authority on the rules regarding on-loan players facing their respective parent clubs. Courtois played against Chelsea in the Champions League, while he was on loan with Atletico.
I kind of like the rule that way. I enjoy the schadenfreude aspect of a "surplus" player coming back to haunt his parent club.

There are persistent rumors of Hernandez to LAFC. Would be a great setup with Dos Santos at LA Galaxy.

I turned it on in the second half but he hit the crossbar around the 47th or 49th minute.

You're correct. I'd still be ecstatic if Everton signed Leno.
They were a man down due to injury when Papa hit the header, but no excuses for the way they've played this year. Heads need to roll.

UEFA has a rule that restricts clauses from disallowing players to play against their parent clubs in European competition IIRC. Patrick Roberts did it this year with Celtic and scored against City.
The FA allows teams to have clauses restricting play. City play Huddersfield Town in the next round of the FA cup and Aaron Mooy, who has been one of Huddersfield's best players, is on loan from city and can not play.

They were pretty good last year when Chicha was on fire...this year has been an anomaly.
Roger has maybe a few weeks left.
Bundesliga table is always a head scratcher...Frankfurt and Hoffenheim are playing great ball this year, along with Leipzig of course.

Random though, in my most recent FIFA career mode Leverkusen dominated the Bundesliga and were in the UCL semi-finals for the first 3-4 seasons of the game. Was pretty random.

And they still managed to beat Spurs in the Champions League
