DE Kikaha

FS Bell
CB PJ Williams

Klein might be our best Lb'er already lol. DE is definitely the weak spot with Bell following closely.

i dunno. Ellerbe and Robertson are legit when on field. Robertson was playing lights out when he started out on the outside. Klein did ok in service work but i am not convinced he's above average starting quality.

Yea, I've been impressed with both of them.

Getting Klein should allow them to be better though

CB PJ Williams

Hoping he is fully recovered from his concussion and doesn't play to avoid contact in fear of another one. He was really playing well before that injury, which was the only time watching a game that I thought a player had died.

We don't really know about PJ...he's been hurt his entire nfl career. I had high hopes for him last year, same for Kikaha. It's hard to project with all these players, but PJ has to be the answer until he can prove he can make it on the field.

such a short glimpse, but i almost feel more comfortable with PJ production at corner than Kikaha production as an almost every down edge end. We have very little to work with there aside the year we played a weird 3-4 type defense.

I think we were expecting too much from Bell last year. He came out after his true junior year, and played last year as a 21 year old rookie. I'm looking for Bell to make considerable progress this year. I think he has the potential to be an above average starter in the NFL.

So who's our starting CB2? How healthy is he?

How about our DE across from Jordan?

Kikaha and it's not close.

I have more faith in PJ Williams or even Crawley at CB, than Kikaha as a starting DE. Kikaha might end up being a good situational pass rusher, but he shouldn't be on the field in obvious running situations.

Agreed. I'm pretty confident that he'll pan out. He didn't do that great in pass coverage, but it wasn't due to lack of skill...he just missed his assignments & seemed confused at times. I was actually surprised at his run defense. That was supposed to be his weakness, but I thought he did a good job last year. Most scouts said he was the best safety in the 2016 draft class as far as pass coverage.

I don't even think it's close. I know PJ has only played 2 games for us in 2 years, but he looked like a legit #2 CB last year during the preseason games & the Raiders/Giants games.

I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt Kikaha can hold his own against the run as a 4-3 DE.

I could see Saints running with Onyematta at DE with Jordan on early downs with Fairly and Rankins at DT.
