Historically, and with how we started the hex, this is absolutely a win. You are a goddamn idiot if you think otherwise. A point at the Azteca is rare for any team. We have never won there in a competitive game. We played a bunch of kids and non-starters. How is this anything but a win?

With that result and LSU (possibly) going to Omaha tonight... this will be one of my favorite sports days ever.

I mean, he's right. It's not a win. 3 points is a way bigger deal.
But it was a fantastic result and 4 points this weekend has us back in a great position.

If you watched the Scotland v England WCQ, you had a foreshadowing of the emotional roller coaster we were on last night.
Bradley's theft of an El Tri pass in midfield and subsequent blast into goal was an "all time" U.S. Soccer legend in making. It'll be on all the highlight reels henceforth.
The momentary lapse in defense that allowed Mexico to equalize sucked moose crank, but the stalwart defending afterwards from the U.S. to see the game out with a point was pretty awesome.
That defense of a point was made possible because the U.S. never stopped going forward and attacking when possible. Mexico never got comfortable.
So, while it pains me to think our biggest rival edged us head to head during this Hex, since Arena took over things are a shite ton better.
We will be in WC 2018, y'all.

Nope but I'm also not afraid of a bunch of Mexicans. A draw is fine but it's not a win.

We know. We've never won there in an official match.
