Most think that NK having a ICBM is a game changer, what say you?

If so, how soon do you see something happening? Let's pray that the Chinese finally step up and do something.

Because we've tried to sweet talk and appease them for the last 20 years without realizing you can't do that with maniacs.

Unfortunately its not as simple as that...

Its a mess right now though, pretty limited options. We need China and other countries to step in as well

Proximity to our allies, our bases, and our quasi-allies means if it goes down it goes down hard. That little egomaniac frick could really cause a bitch of a war.

didn't this thing barely make it 500 miles? Hard to call that an icbm

You will have to see massive military mobilization within striking distance of NK first, which could potentially unleash hell on East Asia (it's tough to pull that off quietly). Pyongyang will strike hard and fast. They've had six decades to plot a response, which will be all or nothing.

Assuming a successful overthrow, a great deal of reconstruction will likely fall on the US.

Not suggesting it shouldn't happen, but we better be ready.

This is the only way this doesn't end with a disaster.

People who say just bomb them, its just not that simple. No way we can take out all of their nukes because we don't know where the mobile sites are at a moments notice. Even if we did their is no way can take all of them out before they launched a nuke at South Korea. Not to mention we have no idea how China and Russia will react.

China is behind NK nukes and missiles.
Watch the deal the US and regional allies makes with China.
South China Sea rights to China for making Lil Kim behave himself.

For how long though?

China has an ace in the hole with Kimmie.

We've been in the one step forward, two steps back dance in that area for a bit, haven't we?

It went 1500 miles almost straight up, which means it can go about 4000 miles at a lower trajectory, which means it is well within range of Alaska. Which means we basically have no choice we have to do something.

Remember when the idiot Left criticized Reagan for daring to propose the SDI system?

I know NK having a few nukes with ICBM 'a isn't ideal, but still Kim knows to launch one is suicide for himself and NK, I can't see a scenario where he launches

It didn't go far because it was shot almost straight up. The U. S. thinks it could have reached Alaska with the right trajectory.
